What is the difference between hollow aluminum solid aluminum?
the perspective of production technology, hollow aluminum profiles solid aluminum profiles are formed by heating extrusion of aluminum strips, with different extrusion molds used. Below, we will briefly introduce their differences.
1. Hollow aluminum profiles
In the production processing of hollow aluminum alloy profiles, it is generally used to separate form an extrusion molding mold a plan, which is composed of two parts: the left right molds. The lower mold component includes flow holes, mold cores, working belts, air knives, etc. The upper mold component includes welding chambers, mold holes, working belts, air knives. The key principle is that raw materials enter the mold cavity according to the flow holes, aluminum alloy profiles are reasonably arranged according to the flow holes. According to the cross-sectional specifications of the aluminum alloy profiles, the flow holes are slightly skewed outward to reduce the working pressure in the mold cavity. The internal shape of the profile is mainly fixed by the mold core, the height of the lower mold welding chamber must be above 10mm to keep the mold core stable. The aluminum alloy material of the diversion hole gathers in the welding chamber, then flows out the mold mouth under high temperature pressure.
2. Solid aluminum profiles
Solid aluminum profiles do need to be processed during the processing process. They only need to be processed on a mold then extruded into shape. The extrusion mold is relatively simple. Although solid aluminum profiles are heavier have stronger extrusion ability than hollow aluminum profiles, hollow aluminum profiles are more widely used in actual production than solid aluminum profiles.
