What are the processing procedures for automotive aluminum profiles?



With the development of industrial modernization, the demand for aluminum continues to increase, the supply of primary aluminum continues to expand. Although China has become a large producer consumer of primary aluminum, due to limited resources, aluminum production costs continue to rise, aluminum production costs rely on imports. Aluminum has good recycling value, saves hydropower energy, protects the ecological environment, the development of waste aluminum recycling industry has become a common research topic for domestic aluminum manufacturers. At present, the proportion of recycled aluminum in China accounts for one-third of the original aluminum production, significantly supplementing the gap in global aluminum demand. Regenerated aluminum is an aluminum alloy material made by melting refining waste aluminum materials. During the refining process, recycled aluminum needs to go through the following steps.


1、 Classify waste aluminum materials


Waste aluminum materials are also collected various aluminum products, roughly divided into pure aluminum, cast aluminum, other aluminum alloy materials.


1. For waste aluminum profile products, it is necessary to first disassemble separate the profile part the connecting part, as some products are connected by aluminum other metal parts. Different metal types are first separated, then cleaned dried.


2. For thin aluminum products, relevant equipment should be used for compression packaging.


3. Steel core aluminum twisted wire is separated aluminum material by magnetic separation, the aluminum wire is coiled.


4. Removing impurities aluminum materials: Aluminum materials contain many other metal non-metallic impurities, such as iron, lead, paint, plastic, etc. If removed, they will be integrated into the recycled aluminum material, seriously affecting the alloy composition of the recycled aluminum, leading to unqualified production of aluminum materials.



① Removal of iron impurities: Currently, there is no very good method to remove iron scrap aluminum. It is recommended to avoid using scrap aluminum with high iron content to produce recycled aluminum. Excessive iron impurities can weaken the mechanical properties of aluminum materials, the iron content should be controlled below 1.2%;


② Removal of lead impurities: use industrial Oxygen scavenger to remove excess lead;


③ Paint removal: Organic solvents such as acetone can be used to remove the paint. If the paint is stubborn, it should be baked in a paint removal furnace below 566 ℃. If it cannot be removed, the baking time can be appropriately extended until the paint coating falls off;


④ Removal of Aluminium foil: First, put the foil into the aqueous solution for heating, apply a certain pressure, then quickly decompress, stir to separate it.


2、 Calculate the dosage of ingredients


Due to the different varieties of recycled aluminum, the raw materials for recycled aluminum are relatively complex, impurities such as oil stains in aluminum are difficult to remove. The chemical composition is difficult to control, many aluminum manufacturers can only rely on experience to calculate the content of various chemical components. The main alloy elements such as copper, magnesium, zinc, selenium, iron, chromium, etc. can be calculated through professional software. Waste aluminum materials should be carefully classified, which requires large production costs. In order to achieve product quality, it is usually necessary to add at least 20% of the primary aluminum alloy formula to melt, making its chemical composition close to that of the primary aluminum alloy.


3、 Distinguishing Regenerated Deformed Aluminum Alloys


According to the classification of alloys, aluminum alloys are divided into deformed aluminum alloys cast aluminum alloys. Due to the fact that heat treatment can improve the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys through quenching aging, resulting in the production of hard aluminum, superhard aluminum, forged aluminum alloy materials, a distinction has been made between deformed aluminum alloys in recycled aluminum. The deformed aluminum alloys produced waste aluminum include 3003, 3105, 3004, 3005, 5050, etc. Among them, 3105 is a representative alloy model for regenerated deformed aluminum alloys. In order to meet the chemical composition standards of the regenerated deformed aluminum alloy, a certain amount of primary aluminum ingots can be added during production to improve its mechanical properties.


4、 Distinguish between recycled cast aluminum alloys


In addition to producing some recycled aluminum alloys, it is mainly used to produce recycled aluminum alloys, mainly parts made by casting process. Their chemical composition deformation are different. According to chemical composition, cast aluminum alloys can be divided into aluminum magnesium alloys, aluminum silicon alloys aluminum copper alloys. A small amount of cast aluminum alloys are used to regenerate deformed aluminum alloys. In addition, a quarter of cast aluminum alloys can be used to produce Oxygen scavenger for steelmaking. The 380, adc10, other die-casting aluminum alloy profiles used in many countries are basically recycled materials waste aluminum alloys.


5、 Selected melting furnace


After sorting calculating the raw materials, the equipment will be ready for production. The main equipment for producing recycled aluminum is a melting furnace a refining purification furnace, usually using a stationary furnace with oil gas for melting. According to production needs, the tonnage of the smelting furnace can be selected, the production process can also be selected based on the type of aluminum profile to be produced. A suitable production process can save production costs improve production efficiency.


6、 Environmental pollution issues


The waste aluminum recycling industry is an environmental protection industry, but in this production process, due to the diversity of aluminum materials, a large amount of screening processing work needs to be done in the early stages. During the screening production process, some pollutants will inevitably be generated, pollution to the atmosphere water quality is an environmental protection issue. The use of low toxicity non-toxic refining materials cannot completely eliminate the pollution of harmful gas generated on the air. At present, it has been found that rare earth elements can melt with aluminum melt, thereby refining recycled aluminum. Therefore, the new purification process generates less waste gas, which can greatly improve the environmental pollution problem in the production of recycled aluminum ensure that the cost of recycled aluminum is too high.
